Chun Li is sexy as hell, but I wanted to kick her around a little bit, like a dirty skin-bound soccer ball. (the-shit-I-say-on-this-blog). I wanted to grunge up Chun Li (as I would like to the whole street fighter cast) like real street fighters. None of this perfect uniform shiiiite.

If I had a dollar for every tooth Chun Li knocked out of YOUR skull, I'd have two thousand dollars!!!!

At any rate, this was just a diversion because THE PAINTING I'M WORKING ON IS EATING MY OWN EYEBALLS.

Burrito Bison is a rad launcher game. I played it for a few hours yesterday and as a result, I'm not done with a painting I wanted to be done with. What's more, I spent time this morning sketching a fan art for him, which took even more time out of my life.

I used some half tones on him, which I don't usually do, but it actually worked out really well. Mayhaps I will do that more often.

Over the weekend I drew street fighters for a potential T-shirt idea. It's weird how many online images there are of Elena that AREN'T CUTE. I googled so many images and couldn't find many good looking ones except the official stuff. She does a bunch of high kicks and is rather lanky. Almost all the pics are crotch shots. That's ok, I get it. BUT WHY NO CUTE PICS? Her face and hair are always super lame.

Well, dear internet, I'm correcting this error. She's lanky, half naked, and rather crotchy, but let's make a cute Elena for once for fuck's sake. You're welcome internet. What would you do without me?

Sexy Maleficent does not give one quarter of-a-fuck what you think.

I sketched Maleficent, the queen bitch, and then did a quick paint job over top of it. She does not give a fuck if you don't like her outfit. Seriously, not a single fuck. I asked.

Maleficent will eat your soul.

I will be trying to attempt a sleeping beauty piece. I'll explore some of the characters in sketch or small paintings first. I have some ideas on what I'd like to pull off, but I'm not ready for another giant painting. they really take allot out of me.

Painting these fairy tales has been cool - although I'm giving allot of play to Disney stuff, I always loved the designs, but I'd love to add something to them. Disturbing, maybe? But Maleficent and I have a similar mentality, if you don't like us - you can go prick yourself on a sewing needle.

Have a smashing Thursday, not matter what Maleficent says.

Alice in Wonderland: worst teaser ever.

There's allot of "stuff" from the Alice painting, but I'm sleep deprived.
This is what I do to a perfectly good painting.

The Alice in Wonderland painting is finished. I tweeted a thumbnail when I was about half way done, but I slaved on it over the weekend and finished it tonight. I'm really excited about this one and I won't to give away anything cool in advance.

On the other hand, I want to be a tease, since it's fun to do that on the internets. So I'm putting up this image. The thing came out pretty much just like the sketch you know, but it got all sorts of paint on it. At some point, while I was painting the roses, ehem... red, I lost my head - as one tends to do when painting Alice.

Now I'm left with a whole bunch of colored pixels. But I don't think I should let them have their way with your eyes just yet. Let's wait until the show is on, I believe in March some time. Yes, let's do that.

Until then it's on to the next art in a long list of arts that need to be created.

Today I worked on the Alice in Wonderland painting, and then I did this Joan of Arc sketch just to not be painting so seriously.

Cheshire Cat Girl: naked as the day she was born

Ok, so, there's no way she was born wearing sh_t like that, and I didn't really detail all the naughty bits... Cause who needs THAT?

I'm slaving away on the Alice in Wonderland painting, but that doesn't mean there's no time to draw the Cheshire Cat as a snooty naked cat girl. Quite the contrary, that's exactly what I've done.

Enjoy the sketch, I'll post up a work in progress on the Alice painting when I get a moment.

Also - I want to bring back art director for a day, but I need a good way to deliver it that will also increase traffic/interest in my work. Alice in Wonderland: Cheshire Cat girl

Strange how few femlie chesire cat sketches there are in google. I looked, didn't see many. So I'm bringing sexy back with this one.

Alice finds herself at the gates to the queen's castle, having been lead there by tweedle stupid and tweedle stupidest.

Looky looky, another Alice in Wonderland thumbnail. This time I'm getting past kinks and going into the thumbnail stage instead of random character sketches. I may give it one more shot before I go to colors, buuuut I really like this thumbnail.

I'm ripping the Disney designs but doing it a little different. Also, this Alice is just the body shapes, I'm not sure what I'll do with her outfit exactly, although it will likely resemble the Disney Alice as well.

I'm aiming for 12x16 with this print, although I may give it crazy resolution so I can print a massive version.

I did some fan art. Here's Rokko Chan - the kickass girl version of Mega Man with a pony tail. I made her a little more sultry than she is in game, but you know, props to the guys who made it. They really kick but. Indie games are the best and these guys are doing a great job.

Their names are Taro, Dotter C, Asagen, Uji, and Jey. Nice cute design guys, she's a hottie.

The game is SUPER hard at first. For some people it will be a breeze if they've played allot of megaman, but I went ahead and did a little leg work to hook you up.

Stormtrooper inspired kicks

I made myself another pair of Nike custom kicks. These ones are all about starwars and stormtroopers, but not in a lame literal way mind you! These "pass" really f_cking well.

So the theme I went with was "beheaded stormtroopers". Get it? It's got the black and white helmet as the shoe, but the sole is red like the neck separation. Totally gory in a playful way. I went with crimson laces to spice things up a little.

Too much black and white is boring, so the soles have some grey and the laces have the crimson to pop out a little.

Oh yah, the tongues say "Do Not Miss". If you've ever watched a stormtrooper (i mean star wars) movie, then you know why that's good advice for a stormy. Those bastards never hit their target. EVER. Train much? Hah. Ironic considering that this one lost his head.

Team Fortress 2 inspired kicks

Christmas came early!

"Kicks" means "shoes" in some cultures... (mild sarcasm mixed with fact for out of touch old people that might be or might not be reading this)

I built these shoes for myself using the Nike iD site. They're Team fortress 2 style shoes. Particularly, these ones are the engineer. The tongues say "nope.avi" If you get that, you're a serious nerd and quite possibly a TF2 fan.

I've gotta rain proof these m_thers and then i'll rock them on my way to work. Perhaps i'll even work on the engineer while wearing them. Now that would be awesomely meta.

Here's to hoping you get all the custom shoes you desire for Christmas. (Cause I know that's what you want).

Let's see, there's the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat, and the White Rabbit. I'll probably turn them all into slutty big headed cartoons. If you had a problem with that, you wouldn't be here reading this.

It has been done and drawn to death, but it's my turn dammit. And I promise I'll bring something new to the table, even if it's only some strange platform tennis shoes and hats with skull pieces and horns and candy colors - Yes, please.

Greedo Never Fired

This one ended up being called "Seattleite StormTrooper" If you can't tell, I ripped the Morton Salt girl for the pose and colors. It's just too perfect not to steal.

I'm posting framed pics as well because that was part of the art, IMHO. I got a plaque popped onto the frame that says Rainstorm Trooper and picked out a simple black matte. It works perfectly.

This one was "Han SoLoL" and the frame says "Greedo Never Fired" on account of the OG Star Wars. I really hate all the changes that were made to the film. I know this is a hotly debated topic and I get the whole editing after the fact because he couldn't initially have his way at the time with technology the way it was, but nostalgia is really one of the only reasons I love that movie, and him changing it is like somebody trying to give me false memories as a child. I like all the mistakes and the puppetry and the weird shit and rubber masks in the OG starwars. In 10 years is he going to CG out all the bad masks in the cantina? Hope not.

At any rate, Greedo never fired. I had to art that.

Star Wars art show (Han Solo and a stormtrooper)

A Han Solo sketch from last night

I don't usually draw in the real world. It's all scary and stuff, cause... no undo! And how am I going to get my straight lines and gradients? Pshhht, F that. Drawing in the real world? That takes skills.

I've been working in the real world lately for a bit, that's why - no posting. It's crazy fun, but it take some time to get used to when you stay digital for so long. There's little "wrong" with either one - analog vs. digital - there are pros and cons to each one.

He's Han Solo as "Han SoLoL"... get it? :-|

I'm not the greatest at analog, but I'm very glad to be into both it and digital. Having both in your tool box makes for good art adventures. I'll post some of the finished stuff if and when it happens. As of right now I have a sketchbook full of shitty Star Wars drawings. With a little bit of luck and some time this weekend, I can turn some of them into decent pieces.

Random girl paintings

These are some paintings I did for a project that will not be used. I'm just gonna post them here so they can see some daylight.

About to head to San Diego for Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to a giant burrito from a hole-in-the-wall almost as much as I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving day itself.

In Seattle there is no substitute for such things as the Mexican food out here mostly tastes like cafeteria food from middle American grade school. Ya - it really is that bad. You know, the kind of food that you spend in food fights instead of eating because it's got projectile mass more than it has flavor. The kind of food that you build sculptures out of because it looks better shaped as a T-rex than it feels sitting in your belly. The kind of food that your dog won't eat because he thinks it's poison. Ya - it really is that bad.

Mexican food in San Diego, though I'm not expert on Mexico, can be as cheap as bus fare out here and good enough to write a blog post about. You can get a burrito for a few dollars, which is of a substantial weight and size - it'll probably last you an entire day. Good good stuff.

Ok. Fine. Just one more stormtrooper ever.

Here's the plan. If I can paint this large and good looking, I"ll move on to snow Leia. THe way I look at it - black and white should be easier than color, so I'll start with easy stuff and move on.

This is going acrylic and who the fuck knows how that works. Photoshop? Cake. Real life? ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH. The plan is to throw some paint down ASAP so I can see how bad I suck at making colors happen. But you don't care about that do you? You just want to see some pixels!

Killed a painting.
I have a shitload to paint this week. Well, really, this season. Winter is going to be a rough one to clear up.

Winter advice? Don't eat the yellow snow. Keep your head down. Finish your god damn projects.

I haven't done postcards in a long ass while. I really want to do that, but it's dessert. I have to eat my vegetables and pay my bills first.

Forgot to mention, this character is based off the mascot for Anime Conji an anime convention in San Diego. Think her name is Saga. Her design is tweaked because I don't like to just copy and paste, and she's very generic. Respect to the creator.

Metroid Color Wheel Print available

You may remember this image a little while back, well I'm going to do prints of it to help finance building the mother brain sculpt.

It's key moments from the original Metroid on NES, wrapped around a color wheel with a Metroid in the middle.

Prints are 12x16 (a standard frame size) on watercolor paper. They're signed and numbered and will be hand embellished. That's a fancy way of saying that they'll all have hand drawn art on them. I'm cutting the edition at 20, so that's all there will ever be. $30 gets you a print shipped.

I'm new to painting with cans, but it's awesome the things house paint can do not on houses. If I ever own a house, I'm totally painting the outside like that. I promise. Yeehaw.

I'm learning how to paint with a few coworkers who will for now remain nameless. You can expect more awkward pieces and weird color combos in the immediate future should I be happy enough with them to post them on the interwebs.

And for any of you looking for it Metroid is coming! Well, the Samus figure is almost done but I don't have any good pics and it's still in a few pieces and minus the base.

Here I am in the studio I share with the super talented Wade Schin with all the things you need to wet sand.
And here's another buddy's shed where I was drinking guiness and cider and spraying primer while my friends spray painted on canvases outside.

Tonight I'm going to apply layers of paint, then tomorrow any finished followed by the glue (if I have time). Plan is to be wrapped up by Saturday so it can be mailed to the art show where the piece will be housed and sold (maybe?) for BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

Sanded Samus

I spent today sanding all the joints. When I received the pieces, about 80% fit perfectly, 10% fit if I forced it, and 10% was terribly off.

Next I wet sand everything and primer it. I'm not sure how long that takes but I'm thinking the rest of this weekend is going to be spent with water and super fine sand paper.

Once I get a wooden base done - everything will stand about 9" tall.

Do you want to make 3D figures come to life? It's allot of work.

Nobody said it was easy but before I ever did this, I thought that it was much easier than it really is.
It IS really easy to model something and print it, but to paint it and make sure it's a dope model, you have to go through allot of steps - ones that are less fun that just making cool sh_t. I'm tired of seeing the boring Gray prints with no TLC put into them. Once people can print on models (currently it looks low rez and bad) I don't think I'll like THAT as much as really painting it either.

This past weekend I put in time on the next phase. I decided how big the figure was going to be and how I wanted to paint it. In order to not have paint lines or wobbly brush strokes, you pretty much have to mask things off or print in pieces and then assemble them once painted - like a puzzle.

This means allot of things. You're going to have to make the puzzle work in a logical way. It takes technique and time. I'm not great at it, but I understand how it works and I have friends I can talk to about how to do it.

I broke the model up into pieces based on the colors they would be painted, as well as inset all of the elements to meet the printers tolerance. If you print everything flush, it won't fit together because glue and paint have thickness, plus pieces warp a little and they grow with temperature. It's not an exact science.

So I've created all the pieces and sent it to a printer. This is a high quality one that's better than the last one I used. It costs a pretty penny and takes time. Once it arrives I'll sand it and then prime it before painting. Heh - Metroid prime... get it? Ahhgggh.

This is quite an involved process so I'll document it with some pictures as the model comes in (hopefully perfect and fitting well without too much work once she arrives).

I did a quick Mother Brain sketch based on the Captain N mother brain, which I love.
And started modeling the mother brain in a jar concept - although this will require clear plastic, and I'm not sure how well it will work...

So I'm going to have to work on a solution to that.

I spent time on the weekend posing Samus and tweaking proportions. I'll do work on the base tonight if I'm not passed out.
Still debating whether to soften the mesh with a subdivision or not. I kind of like low poly stuff, but I don't know how well it's received at a medium level as such. People may think it's a mistake unless I go slightly lower res or dramatically higher rez.

Bubble Tea Time

The Bubble Tea designs I did for the local shop, minus logo and border.
They were super fun to do. I had a few more crude and rude sketches, and the little girl one with the dress didn't fly. "Too cute" and all, but these are kinda goofy and I hope they will pleas bubble tea drinkers across the land.

Digital line art is always a pain in the B. I think I should just do it on paper next time... in real life... buuut no, I went with the pixels. Pixels are ooookkkkk. I mean, we cool, pixels an' me. I just OCD over some of the curves sometimes.

I like the cup dude vs. the boba tapioca balls. That worked out nicely.

Portal 2 was awesome. Actually, it still IS awesome. So go buy it if you haven't. It's puzzles plus clever humor, not that toilet humor that promulgated in most modern games! Speaking of bad taste, here's a pin up I made of the main character, Chell, along with her companion cube.

Yes, she's got booty shorts. Yes her head is ginormous. But is there really a problem with that? No. There isn't.

But seriously, if you haven't done the portal thing, it's short(ish) and rewarding.

Otherwise you'll miss out on all the internet memes, like "The cake is a lie." and a bunch of stuff about lemons and Cave Johnson. You'll see.

MegaMan tribute piece

Udon is publishing a MegaMan tribute book. I had the honor of being included in the book which is chalk full of user submissions and professional invitations.

I really had fun with this illustration. This year I've gotten much better at painting full scenes with a little more composition and allot more polish. Aside from my recent Crazy 4 Cult piece, this one was one of my favorite's this year (including all the postcard illustrations).

Crazy 4 Cult book signing

Crazy 4 Cult 5 show: Goonies, Predator, Never Ending Story, Big Trouble in Little China

This is the Crazy 4 Cult 5 piece that I did this year. As stated before, it's 18"x24". I'm calling it "1984-1987". Depending on who you ask, those were good years for movies.

These are going on sale tomorrow at Gallery1988 in Los Angeles. I currently don't have a "to purchase link" so you'll have to email the gallery if you want one, but as soon as they provide me with a link, I'll put one up.

The edition size is 88 (as in gallery 1988) and they are actually going to be on sale for $70 as opposed to $88.

The prints are giclee and done by a REALLY quality shop on nice paper so they're worth every penny. I can also guarantee you that if you like my art, you'll love this print. It's one of the best pieces I've cranked this year and it took me weeks to do.

Share the love of this piece if you like it and pass it around to your friend(s). I don't want it to get lost in a corner of the internet because, well, I poured so much life into this piece...

Crazy4Cult 5 art show is coming up

Ok, so I'm going to drop a little about the show and the piece I did for it.

This coming Friday in LA is the annual Crazy4Cult art show. It's at Gallery1988 and if you CAN get there and haven't been before, it's fucking awesome.

This is the fifth year and I did a limited edition 18x24 print for it. There will be 88 of them available.

Here's the postcard for the show with a small version of the image:

This thing is JAM PACKED with references to 4 80's movies which I hold very near and dear to my heart.

I had been planning this piece for almost a year before I forced time in to work on it and I think it's one of my best piece yet, but to be honest, you've got to see the print. It's ok in pixel form, but it's way better actual sized and in person. So you've got to go to the event and check it out.

It's called "1984-1987 at 1988" - There will be 88 prints available and they're going to be going for 88 bucks a piece.

There's a framed hand embellished piece in the gallery that will be going for $150.

Here's the digital sketch I made before I started the piece. I'll post up a big version of the final piece tomorrow.

Oh - and do not ask me what movies these are... cause you better f_cking KNOW. (^__^)

Metroid's Samus Aran Pin Up Art

Submitted for your pleasure - the finished version of the Samus Aran art.

You may notice that she's got the color scheme from the original Metroid (not the zero suit). Although the zero suit was an obvious choice, I like to call back to the most retro of retros. Gas tank is an "E-tank", The "Bailey" on the side refers to a code from the NES original metroid "Justin Bailey" Which isn't a name but a description, but I won't get into that now. Narpas Sword is also printed on the side.

There's a super missile there popping up next to Samus and she's hugging on to a Metroid, of course.

I will make a postcard of this one at some point, although the whole point of these was to find a design for the front cover of the Postcard book - which doesn't seem to be happening, especially with the new Chell Portal 2 art I"ll be doing.

You will have to bear with me though, it will be done dammit, but every other illustration just adds something cool to the book. It's not a loss but a gain.

Something you can get your mitts on!

Ok, so I'm really bad at making money through my personal art. That's no surprise, many peeps ask me if they can purchase anything and I'm always like, "Duuuuuh"...

Here's the deal - I DO sell stuff. Mostly at Conventions (San Diego Comic Con, Seattle Emerald City Con, and Calgary Expo). I also do art shows all the time mostly at Gallery 1988 in LA. I will tell you that the print I'm selling through Gallery1988 in LA is literally the best piece I've ever done, and it printed better than any art I've ever printed, and most other art I've seen printed. So you're going to want to get your hands on it. It's limited to 88 signed/numbered pieces. I'll post it up closer to the show release, along with the sketch so you can see that stuff.

Also, I'm doing figures through Squid Kids Ink. Nate invited me to design 2 figures and also do prints for them, which I've posted in the past, but the figures are almost finished being produced.

Here's a piece in the upcoming squid kids ink endeavor. I'll post pictures of the finished figure when it's wrapped. The figures are also to be released limited, so IF you want one, you'll have to jump on it quickish.

At any rate, I do have stuff out there and I usually link to the shows and whatnot. (^__^) I will oneday have an online gallery but the last guy I worked with to help me build something cool stopped short about 20% of the way through the process. And it always seems like it's impossible to do anything other than blog.

Ok, sooo I sent out some postcards today. A few readers requested them early cause they saw em coming. The stamps are super boring though. :( My real stamps are packed.

Sexy Samus Aran from Metroid

I finished the backside today. Here's a large version and an in context version. The roller derby girl thing is still present and I used the hairpin from Metroid other M. That metroid is borderline nonsensical the way I just kinda threw parts around, but it works.

Sexy Samus Aran is sporting shorts that are about 3 sizes too small, just as you would expect. I don't usually get complaints though, so I'll carry on making my video game girls retardedly under dressed and pouty lipped.

The final painting is pretttty much done, but I've got to do some last minute touches and then I'll post it up.

Got a temp setup going today and worked on the Samus Pin up. Tomorrow and she'll be all painted up.

I'm thinking next - "Mistress Chief" (halo themed?!?) although not nintendo at all... ¿Portal themed pin up? ¿Team Fortress?

Or maybe an Orion Slave girl, from star trek? Naw, F that. The girl who said she'd come by the con dressed as an Orion Slave girl totally flaked, so that will be a negative.

There are a few pieces I've talked to people about making, I should probably get on that. Although I will have to do another pic for the back of this postcard. - line art, so those never take too long.

I didn't finish today on a technicality. Kung Fu Panda 2 was awesome (the art and character designs). Then I went to hang out with a buddy and talk art, soooo, now I'm late posting, but it was worth it.

¿What's in a blog anyways?

My blog felt dark and cluttered so now I've limited the per page posts to 5, and reorganized many of the widgets on the side.

The focus should really be on the art and what I'm sharing, although I have to put that "Buy my book " plug on the side so that I make some money. The blog also felt a little dark, so I lightened it up, although the BG will likely change many times.

I'm not a big fan of changing things around, but this blog has always felt claustrophobic and I also think that it deserves lots of life since it's been around for around half a decade.

I often wonder if I'm doing blogging "right" but honestly, it's all about giving art to the readers and trying to inspire people to do the same. So I really appreciate you (whoever may be reading currently). I do have another batch of postcards on its way, and I will be sending those out soon as another round of thanks to those of you who follow the site.

Postcard book cover

The book I'm working on is a compilation of the art pieces I've been doing for art director for a day, postcards, and some additional art that's been created in the last year or so.

¿What's left? Well, I keep ADDING pages, which is fine by me, but I hadn't gotten a cover done yet. I had the concept down - I want it to look SORT of like a package bound by twine with fake customs stamps and weird postal looking doohickeys, a few postage stamps, the works like that.

Well, I worked on it this weekend and everything is set up minus a focal point painting on the front and a lil one on the back.

Here's the cover (and back cover) in its first stages. The book will be square and around 8 - 10 inches depending on prices and how many people are interested.

Sometimes I do smart things. Today, I did 'a smart things'. I recycled the BG from the last painting, but moved stuff around so it would look different. I just need to do the giant gashes on the plane. Plus I mixed up the palette so that it would be more unique.

oh ya - and I added a magical boomerang on the side thurr, sorta like the bobomb on the last piece.

everything is done but the pinup hottie, so now for the 'good' part.

AD4AD2.0 - Noseart Mashup Remix

Ok, now that I've got a reasonably wacky title out of the way, to the art.
This one is Mida based, or maybe I'll go with princess Zelda, but she gets all the love and I'm kinda doing the B-siders with Daisy and Luigi and all. The cool thing about Midna is that she has a Ganon looking color palette with the green pale blue and orange. It could look really cool I think, although a little off.

I've got the Zelda series refs on there. Slashes instead of bullet holes. Fairy in a bottle instead of 1-up, etc.

I think it will work. I just have to decide which damned version to go with. Hoody or no hoody. Sticking her tongue out or not. I'm thinking number 2, but the top one is sort of unique and out of character, which is a cool aspect.

Either way, I've got to jump on this quick so I can get it done and out. I want to print a set of 2 cards and I can't do that if only one card is finished!

Yes. I'm about to put in an order at the postcard store.

Yes. I will have a stack of postcards to send out.

Yes. You're going to have to ping me with you addy so I can send out a fresh new stack of cards.

However, I think I'mma do a second one. I do like sets.

I got home last night and when I woke up, I knew it was goonies time. I adjusted lots on this one and there may be one more pass, but at least everything is detailed in and the values are adjusted. I really tried to frame the piece and give it a unique goonies feel - you know the sort of organic skewed feeling of the design o f the goonies logo and the skull motif and all the characters looking like little tooned out vinyls.

I'm going to do a framed print for a goonies show coming up soon which I'll link to, and otherwise I may have a few prints out for shows. I need to pick up a printer that does 13x19 or large sizes so I can do prints period.

Now I've got to go back to the other cult movie piece I'm working on.

Andrew Wilson + Eric Marechal. This is my art wheat pasted up on a wall in Paris, where supposedly, stuff is always going up.

Eric Marechal is an photographer / wheat paste artist that travels around and pastes up art that his friends and artists have give him. I gave him a stack of random silhouette pieces that he plops up around here and there. I think it's cool that such an urban commando exists.

I've been meaning to send him some new stuff. Maybe I'll come up with something in the next few months.

And that rumor regarding peach being a wh_re? I'll let you decide for yourself.

I'm outa town and away from my wacom for the next several days (sob sob), so I"m going to have to leave this piece partially unfinished but somewhat done. I removed that from door/post thing because it made me claustrophobic. But I haven't finished painting the BG. More details needs to be painted into the key they're standing on so it's nice and worn. A few other tweaks and then it should be golden-ish. I just need to find a way to print it.

Oh yah, and squid needs to come back at some point.

Goonies painting. We're gettin thurr

Characters mostly done now. BG is kinda just thrown in, so lots of tweaks there. Although mostly, I think that if I finish it and it has these values, I'll be happy. I'll do a glow over the edges to make the characters look more directionally lit from the outside.
Now I've got to go run a bunch of errands I spaced on!

I goofed off much of the day but managed to fill in several of the goonies.

There's allot to go but at least these ones are formed! I can probably pop in a few more by the end of the evening, but don't hold me to that. One never knows just how far dinner will take me into the night.

Phew, what do you know, I DID finish it in time after all. I made Princess Daisy just about as hot as I could make her.

Gotta do a backside and then I'm thinking Samus or Zelda or something next week. I suppose I need to have a pair of cards to print! Or what's another nintendo game vixen that needs to TLC?

And I put a little time into the piece. This went down so quick it kinda makes me want to do a few more like it.

Of course, it's always easier said than done.

Expect the final up after lunch sometime. Then I guess I need to decide if I'm going to do another or send this one straight off to the printer to make postcards. Then ask all you peeps for addresses if you'd like me to send you one.

AHHH - but of course, I forgot about the backside! I still need to do art for that!

Ok. I don't always do a B/W shaded version but I wanted to for this one to get the values right. So the main character is now rendered. On to the BG later on. I'll try to get her all colored up by the end of the evening. (crosses fingers)

I scaled to image to fit on a card, added a few little things while I'm making lunch.

After lunch I'll hit up the final paints and see if I can't get this painting nailed, but don't expect an update for a long while when I go to finals!
