Time for a head count. ¿Hands on Dejah Thoris?

ad4ad2.0 is pretty much done. As you read this I'm at a friend's wedding in some g_d forsaken land without the internet plugged into all of the itty bitty hotels. melting like a g_d damned candle stick in this sweltering heat. yes, there are air condition units but they're in the spendy suites. g_d damn the suites.

These are snippets from the painting that I've done for the contest. Like the tron print, I'm going to be selling 18x24 giclee prints of the piece on really nice paper. They're going to go for 50 dollars. I'm thinking of a run of 10-15.

Shoot me an email if you're interested in pre-ordering. If I don't get too many emails, I'm sticking to 15 or maybe just ten. I'll also be doing postcards but I'll drop some of those for free a couple weeks after I get the posters out.

Again - Thanks to everybody who participated in the Postcard offering in the last post. I sent all but 1 of them out. So expect those soon. If you haven't gotten the hint, I'm trying to get people involed in the art process - and that means getting lots of free stuff, and occasionally selling some other stuff so I can make more. I'll be doing more stuff like that as I get more product made.

Art Director for a Day number 3 will be coming up sometime next month, so put your creativity in the charger I'm going to need all the juice I can get.

¿Did I Kill Bill yet?

I painted this pic for That Girl's Site
her BF commissioned me to do it. I really had fun. Basically he wanted me to paint
her into Kill Bill scene. So I'm posting the banner, and then the alternate paint job I did with the "Uma Thurman" Bride.

There are postcards available, but as you probably already know, I'm not good at making things available unless you show up at my doorstep.

¿How about this - if you email me your address tonight before midnight, I'll send you a free one with a drawing on the back? That's interesting. I'll even cover the postage to prove I'm not a grumpy ass bastard. But don't expect me to tweet about this. That would just be dumb.

edit: Alright to the dozen people who emailed me or posted to the comments, you're in like flynn. So gimme a day or so to pop stuff in the mail. To the guy in the UK - don't sweat it, i got you covered this time. \( * O * )/ Thanks for being part of the interactive art process. You're very welcome indeed.

And in case anybody is waiting for the AD4AD2 piece, it's done, i'm just sitting on it while one of my buddies critiques it to death. That'll be up soon.

Samus of Metroid fame.

I posted these long ago, but they deserve to be next to peach. Samus designs I did for my buddy Grant Henry of "Metroid Metal". Heard his music? If you like Metroid, it's an absolute must. He does covers of the metroid tracks heavy metal like. (Hence Samus with a guitar) Can you dig it?

A break from That for some of This:

This is a piece I just finished. I have prints of it but no real motivation to put them up and into a store. Can you tell which pop culture ref this is from? It's pretty obvious yet nobody noticed when I had the print out.

ad4ad2: Everything but the girl

I went through several iterations on the composition and then the palette. Some artistic "colleagues" such as Ture Ekroos http://www.orankidesign.com/ Drake Brodhal and Chris Bishop gave me some great criticism and paintovers - now the piece looks like this. Don't fear though, Dejah Thoris is on the way.
