here's another greenish blobby google eyed post-it pet, which is the flavor of the day today, despite it also being the flavor of the day yesterday.

i haven't done a post-it-pet in longer than i can remember.

¿why not make a new one and breakdown the process? - cause heck, i might forget how, and this will remind me.

process

ok. here's how these things are painted simple as possible:

1. lineart
2. flat colors
3. render it out (i use a set of brushes in photohop that are good for the way i use the wacom)
4. tweaks (like fuzzy wings or little specular higlights or colors)

¿see?

i don't mind sharing the process, but i always recommend that in art there are many ways to make things look cool. Once you are comfortable in a package, explore to find a way to make your art look unique, since so many of us are doing it.

every six months i get a chance to use that title.



the past week was awesome.

i met so many cool people last week that going back to normal life is a bit sad for me right now. it's great to be able to hang out with artists/nerds like me and not be concerned to talk about why you hate the odd purple tint that dries with sharpie and doesn't blend well with micron ink.... well, you get the picture.

THANK YOU to all the people who bought my (and wade's) book at the show and let me ruin it by drawing in it and having weird nerdy conversations too.
